Swim Clinic and Macca's Mini Meet

 

 

 

 

Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March

 

The Alpha Amateur Swimming Club will be delivering a community collaborative program over the weekend 6th and 7th March in Alpha.  The program offers free participation for all children in the following streams:

Competitive Swimming Clinic

A competitive swimming clinic will be running for all junior, intermediate and senior swimmers.  The clinic will be lead by ASCTA Swim Australia Gary Toner and experienced swim coach Tim Taylor.  Swimnastics will be providing land based training sessions for the swimmers over the weekend.

 

Learn to Swim and Stroke Correction

A learn to swim clinic will be running over Saturday and Sunday for swimmers aged from 3 months.

Macca's Mini Meet

The clinic will conclude on Sunday with a Macca's Mini Meet for all swimmers, with a strong focus on fun and participation.

CPR Workshops

CPR Workshops for all ages will be run over the weekend including junior CPR from 2 years through to adult CPR sessions.  CPR workshops are free to attend for all community members.  A Nationally Recognized Training Certificate can be issued to those interested through RLSSQ RTO 5431 if required.

Swim Teacher and Coaching Professional Development

The swim clinic and program will be registered with ASCTA Swim Australia and provide professional development hours for all coaches, swim teachers and school teachers who wish to attend.  Professional development hours will include pool deck and theory based sessions.

Saturday Night Entertainment:

A dive-in movie will be screening at the Alpha Swimming Pool for all swimmers and the community.  More details will be released closer to the event.

Accommodation:

Free accommodation will be provided for those interested in camping.  For those who do not wish to camp, accommodation can be booked through the various accommodation providers in Alpha.

Catering:

Morning and Afternoon snacks will be provided for the swimmers.  The Alpha Amateur Swimming Club will be running a canteen for Saturday Lunch, Saturday Dinner, Sunday Breakfast and Sunday Lunch.  If there are specific food allergies or requirements please detail them below.

Registrations are essential.  A registration form will be required for each individual swimmer.  A free water safety registration pack will provided to all those participating.
